According to the banker, there are influential factors that cause this gap matter. Those factors are higher tax, higher transportation cost, and also higher labor cost. This is why; the gap isn’t decreased even for similar product. Another cause about the consumerism gab between Americans and Canadians is that lower share of Canadian Retailers companies. It has been said that four famous Canadian retailers company only has 12 percent share in the United States.

The Bad Effects of Consumerism Gap

The consumerism gap causes no good result. It causes the retailers and the companies blaming each other because of the high price in Canada. In September, the Finance Minister, Jim Flaherty stated that Canadians feel upset and disturbed in seeing the consumerism gab between Americans and Canadians.
