Police also said the civilian who was killed was carrying a concealed gun and moved to confront the man who opened fire in the Walmart store, but he walked past the gunman's wife unaware that she was also involved and she shot him, police said today. The police released fresh details today of the Las Vegas shooting carried out Sunday by the husband and wife team identified as Jerad Miller, 31 and Amanda Miller, 22. Both suspects were believed to have been wounded by police gunfire before Amanda Miller shot her husband several times and then killed herself in a suicide pact, police said. The couple was "prepared for a lengthy gun battle," said Second Assistant Sheriff Kevin McMahill. He said they were armed with a shotgun and several handguns and backpacks stuffed with ammunition.

As Beck began to react, Jerad Miller shot him in the throat and both Millers then opened fire on Beck, killing him. They pulled the officers from the booth, covered them with a "Don't Tread on Me" flag and a swastika, and pinned a note to Soldo "that basicly said this is the beginning of the revolution," McMahill said. The duo stripped the officers of their weapons and ammunition and headed for the Walmart.

The Millers headed to the nearby Walmart store where Jerad Miller fired one shot and ordered everybody out, telling them "this was the revolution," McMahill said. His wife trailed him, putting their backpacks into shopping carts. Joseph Wilcox, 31, was in the store and was carrying a gun. "He told a friend he was going to confront them," the officer said. But he was unaware of Amanda Miller and walked right past her as he moved towards her husband. "She shot him in the ribs," McMahill said.

Two teams of cops entered the Walmart from different directions and one of the teams began a running gunbattle with the Millers as the couple retreated deeper into the store. McMahill said that at different times, one of the Millers assumed a tactical shooting position lying on the floor and Jerad Miller had set up a defensive perimeter using stuff from the store. He also used the shotgun to try to blow open doors in the rear of the store to make an escape, but police prevented them from leaving, the officer said.

McMahill said both Millers appear to have been wounded, but the gunfire ended when Amanda Miller shot her husband several times and then shot herself. She was still breathing when police reached her, but died while she was still in the Walmart store. In the aftermath of the carnage, neighbor Krista Koch said the Millers were open about their intentions to kill cops. The police officers who died were both married with children. Beck had been with the department since 2001 and leaves behind a wife and three children. Soldo had been with the force since 2006 and is survived by a wife and baby, police said. Soldo was described as a good father and a "great guy" by his sister-in-law, Colleen Soldo of Beatrice, Nebraska. She said he attended high school in Lincoln, Neb., and previously worked as a corrections officer.

Mr. Stam, who describes himself on social media as a 24-year-old musician, baker and anarchist, has defended Mr. Bourque in some of his Facebook postings.

“Justin had no mental illness. he did not do hard drugs. he did not do anyone who deserved respect any wrong. Not ever,” Mr. Stam posted on the weekend, alluding to Mr. Bourque. In an apparent reference to police, Mr. Stam added that Mr. Bourque did not “pretend to be above others” as the “pigs do downtown and on the roads.”

There they fatally shot one other person inside the entrance, Gillespie said. Other officers responding to the shooting call confronted the man and the woman and exchanged gunfire with the suspects, and then they heard several shots.

The female suspect is believed to have shot the male suspect before taking her own life, Gillespie said. He added investigators believe the couple had a suicide pact.

The CiCi’s Pizza restaurant is about 9 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. The restaurant and the Walmart are in a shopping plaza that was bustling with activity on Sunday morning.

Police officers and deputies who gathered outside the restaurant where Beck and Soldo were attacked stood in small clusters, many of them hugging each other. Some officers wept.

“We have lost two officers with young families and a family of law enforcement who cares very much about them,” Gillespie said at the news conference. “What precipitated this incident we do not know. My officers were simply having lunch when the shooting started.”

Pauline Pacheco, a shopper in Walmart, said in an interview with a Las Vegas television station, KLAS, that she saw the armed man enter the store and she grabbed her father so they could escape.

Severe storms spawn tornadoes in Colorado, Aurora Fire Department has confirmed one person was injured after a tornado touched down near Blackstone Country Club in Aurora, Colo., on Sunday.

The injured is the father of a child who was competing in the Rocky Mountain Junior Golf Tournament.

According to the director of Gold League, the man injured was identified as John Leede.

Paul Cleveland, 16, who was playing in the golf tournament and also was in the golf cart, said they were driving up the 18th hole when the "horrifying" moment happened.

The man was treated at an area hospital and Cleveland said he is doing OK. There were up to 97 kids in the tournament at the time.

Tornado sirens were heard going off in the area just after 1 p.m. Mountain Time.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Denver just before 1 p.m. At 12:49 p.m., the weather service said "a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over southern Aurora, or 17 miles southeast of Denver.

Several tornadoes were reported Sunday, including one in the tiny northeastern Colorado town of Grover and two in Park County. A twister also touched down in a sparsely populated area of southeast Wyoming, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or major damage.

Another tornado was reported a short time later about 40 miles away, causing "substantial" damage at an RV park, Balough said.

Weather Service meteorologist Kyle Fredin said a trough of low pressure is creating a "large extensive line" of severe weather along the Front Range from southern Colorado to the Wyoming border.

Plane Craze in Ariz, 6 Victims Indentified

On Wednesday evening, small plane crashed the Superstition Mountain east of Apache Junction, Ariz, near Phoenix and cause the death of 6 on board passengers. Police have indentified and confirmed the death of Joseph Hardwick, mechanic, 22 years old; Russel Hardy, pilot and the air plane owner, 31 years old; Shawn Perry, pilot, 39 years old, Morgan, 9 years old; Logan 8 Years old, and Luke, 6 years old. The three little passengers are Shawn Perry’s children.

Although the passengers has been identified by the police but not with the cause of the crash that is still under investigation of Federal investigator. They still travel to the crash area to know the real cause of the crash.

Perry and children were travelling for Thanksgiving to Safford, Ariz that day using Rockwell AC69 which were departed at Wednesday 6.15 pm from Falcon Field, Mesa, Ariz. On 6.31 pm, it was reported of explosion in the southwest Superstition Mountains. The place is twin engine and registered to Ponderosa Aviation Inc.

As you know that Tappan Zee bridge is getting older and it has to be replaced soon. However, since long time ago, there is no respond from the government about the bridge until Obama administration chooses the bridge as one of 24 projects for expedited federal review and approval. It is hoped that the work to replace the bird will be started in the spring 2013. The bridge is old enough because it was built in the 1950s, and has caused extraordinary cost for its repairs. The condition of the bridge is very bad. The rust is everywhere and the joint has loosened. If one day the bridge should be closed because of the condition, it will make at least 170,000 drivers have to find another way to cross the river.

The condition of the bridge is very crucial for the economic condition because the tappan zee bridge is the economic artery for the entire region. The government plans to build new bridge that can support the traffic. An eight-lane bridge will be built by the government to support the number of traffic in the future. The money to pay for the bridge will be as much as $5.2 billion, the government will issue $3 billion bonds against its toll revenues, and the other $2.2 billion will be financed with loans from labor pension funds.



The project will make 33,000 job years; it means one job for one year. It will also increase the income of the workers in the surrounding bridge. To return the loan for building the bridge, the government will increase the toll. The toll is now $5 and it will be increased as much as $10 each year. Let see what will happen to the bridge in the next two years. If the government is really replaced the bridge, we will have better bridge for traffic on i 87.

Besides paying Texas which such kind amount of money, BP also sold the Texas City refinery. Moreover, they also tried to clean the air so there will be no more victims who were killed because of dangerous air pollution. The agreement was made between North America and Texas. Of course, to reduce the impact of pollution violations BP was tried to improve their operation in Texas City refinery.

The focus of the improvement is on the safety and the compliance over air pollution violations. This plan was run well because in 2010 BP had more financial support up to $50.6 million. Some of the financial supports were used to help the victims of the explosion especially for health care. Then, there was also an additional financial support for about $30 million. Too bad, the regulation of BP’s Texas City refinery was not quite running well. This is concerning to the fact that the financial support above was not distributed well to solve the problem such as for the protection and monitoring program. Actually, they didn’t know when the dangerous come because there was no specific and accurate monitor program or system which can gave them information. Even, Matthew Tejada, executive director of the Houston Air Alliance said that $50 million is more than enough to fix Texas City from this massive dangerous caused by the explosion. He also said that six years was too long to clean and solve the problem because Texas people who got the impact of this dangerous air pollution.
