A Claim Sent to New York From Brookfield

Brookfield New York deadbeat tax claims news is one of the topics on recent New York Daily News. The government releases the list of taxpayers who owe their debts. One of them is BPO-T. Finding the name on the list is very surprising for this company. It is just a week after the million policing on Brookfield Manhattan properties where the Wall Street protesters are gathering.

Brookfield disputes deadbeat tax claims
because the government puts them on the list among of other 40,000 companies. It is calculated that those companies owe for about $149-million because of the overdue tax payment. The city finance department convinces that the data on New York City’s list of deadbeat taxpayers is valid and accurate. It is mentioned that Brookfield Office Properties Company has $139,000 owe to the city.

This data is very different with what BPO-T confirms. They believe that they have made the payment on time. This confirmation is sent through an e-mail on Monday. The discussion is held with the city finance department to find out the solution for this problem. Brookfield Office Properties Company shows their appreciation to the local police for their professionalism in handling the protesters. However, the NYC government still requires the payment from the listed companies although they have stated that they do not owe any.
